HOME TO THE WORLD’S OLDEST PUBLIC TELESCOPE

Cincinnati Observatory is a fully functioning 19th century observatory and a National Historic Landmark used daily by the public and amateur astronomers, civic organizations, teachers and students, scouts and history buffs. https://www.cincinnatiobservatory.org/

Join us for a night under the stars at the historic Cincinnati Observatory with the OVSCC!  The mission of the Observatory is to maintain the integrity and heritage of the 19th Century building while promoting the study and practice of 21st century astronomy and science.  You will get a behind the scenes tour of the telescopes and museum.  With weather permitting, you will be able to look at the planets Jupiter and Saturn through the oldest telescope in the country – a beautiful, 16-foot long wood and brass telescope made in 1845.  Cocktail Hour and Dinner will be provided.
